World premiere of the refreshed Camaro Convertible will take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The refreshed 2014 Camaro Coupe was quietly unveiled at the New York Auto Show alongside the track-focused Z/28, and Chevrolet has just announced the drop-top variant will make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, releasing a few images of the European and US-spec models to whet our appetite. Exterior mirrors are the main difference between the models, with Europeans having to suffer some pretty bulky units. The Camaro Coupe will also be making its European debut at the event.
Both models are offered with a 6.2-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual or automatic box. Output is rated at 426 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, with 0-62 mph time coming in at 5.2 seconds for the manual coupe and 5.4 seconds for the manual convertible. Updates to the front and rear modernize the design while providing improved aerodynamics and more efficient cooling. The spoiler now comes with an integral antenna. Inside, there’s a new color heads-up display, new MyLink connected radio and seven-inch touchscreen with the option of an integrated sat-nav. Prices for the 2014 Camaro Coupe start from £35,320 and £40,320 for the convertible in the UK
