And now at Pebble Beach, theVeyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Legend Edition has had its official debut. So who was this Jean-Pierre Wimille guy? He was one of the longest-serving test drivers for Bugatti back during its heyday before World War II. He unfortunately was killed in a car crash in 1949.
The interior also features that two-tone styling with Bleu Wimille and Lake Blue leather upholstery complete with light blue stitching. Power, as usual, comes from that quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque and paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It’ll go from 0-60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 253 mph. Other special add-ons include embroidered headrests and "Les Legendes de Bugatti" badging. Production will be limited to just three examples. Official pricing hasn’t been announced.
